Thin crust pizza was not as good as the reviews would lead you to believe cheese was either bad or they used Swiss crust was burnt.
Cesar salad was good but not great. -

This place recently opened for lunch, which is why I was finally able to try them. And within a few months they cut their hours again to open at 4 every day. Booo.
Anyway, the food was really good. They sell pizza by the slice, in a thicker format than standard Chicago thin crust. It reminds me of Rosati's double crust, but frankly better. It was obviously fresh too, not pulled out of some warming tray, and absolutely carpeted with pepperoni.
I also tried an italian beef, similarly very fresh, though a little dry. I appreciate that the whole thing was prepared to order, down to the lightly grilled peppers, toasted bun, and hot salty fries. Flavor-wise it was pretty standard but freshness is always a plus.
On a second visited I paired my slice with breaded mushrooms and ranch. No complaints; that's a good combination for a snowy winter afternoon.
I would have returned for the pizza slices and maybe to try the salads and hot sandwiches, but now that option is off the table (haha). Based on the lack of fellow customers that I saw, I'm not surprised, but still disappointed. -

New to area so looking for good places for us to eat out as a family. Middy Mags did not disappoint. Breaded mushrooms and pizza were tasty and came out relatively quickly. We had a thin crust pizza because it's easier for my kids to eat. One of them usually complains about eating the crust but no complaints tonight. The plates, silverware and water cups are self-serve with extra napkins on the tables. This makes it easy to use whatever you need without special requests. I also appreciate that while there were TVs playing for those who want them, they were not the focal point and I could situate my kids where they weren't distracted by them. Instead they spent there time looking out the fantastic windows watching nature and spotting trains.
For parents/care givers: there is an excellent park on the other side of the station across the street from a public library. Double-win! -

I love this place! Food is fan-tas-tic!!!!!! But what you will walk away most impressed with is the friendly, warm staff. So polite and happy to meet customers. In the heart of Glenview, right across the street from the Metra (Glenview) train station. Super fun for city dwellers to take a 30 minute train ride for amazing pizza, and easily get back to the city. Check Middy Mags out.
